How Tik Tok Will Save Your Wallet

Unless you’re living under a rock, you’ve probably already heard of Tik Tok. Previously known as Musical.ly, Tik Tok was the most downloaded app in 2019 and is known for its quirky music lip-syncing videos, short comedy clips, viral dances, and short-lived trends. 

For many sisters during quarantine, myself included, Tik Tok has been a central form of communication during our time at home. Most days, I find that my sisters and I will spend hours sharing Tik Toks with each other and laughing together, it’s a way of staying connected during quarantine. With sorority women taking over the app, like Gracie Birmingham, finding Tik Toks to relate to and send have multiplied. 

Recently, though, I’ve noticed a different sort of Tik Tok which my sisters have been sharing -- amazon tips. Amazon is great, you can find just about anything and everything on the app and have it delivered to your door practically overnight. There are multitudes of amazing Amazon finds on Tik Tok, from fun summer bathing suits to dupes for designer brands, to home decor. There are even entire Tik Tok accounts dedicated to Amazon finds. I’m here to tell you which of these finds are worthwhile.

Lululemon Dupes -- Legging and Sports Bras

If you’re like me and have been trying to take advantage of this free time by getting in shape, you’ll realize workout clothes are EXPENSIVE! These two lululemon sports bra dupes are great quality, super cute, and extremely affordable. These 90 Degree leggings by Reflex are great dupes for Lululemon leggings, and are only ¼ of the price!

Cupshe Bathing Suits

Quarantined or not, summer is coming, and whether you’re just gonna layout and tan in your backyard, or buy a kiddie pool and pretend you’re at the beach -- these bathing suits will help you do just that. Cupshe is known for their cute and affordable bathing suits. My favorite part about Cupshe is that they have a range of styles for all different body types and fun designs.

Fun Summer Outfits

I love sundresses, but it’s always a struggle to find affordable dresses that are cute or cute dresses that are affordable. That’s why, when I saw this dress in a Tik Tok, I HAD to buy it.

SweatyRocks is an Amazon-based clothing company that sells cute, trendy, and cheap stuff. From bathing suits to dresses, to PJs, my personal favorites are their cute crop tops. I bought the USA crop and it has become my favorite!

Miscellaneous, yet Marvelous

These are some random finds on Tik Tok I came across that don’t fall under any specific category but are super convenient and cute to have around the house if you’re balling on a budget.

This toothbrush holder mounts on your wall holds up to 5 toothbrushes, 4 mouthwash cups, AND has 2 toothpaste dispensers, literally for the price of a t-shirt… talk about a steal. This is perfect if you have siblings, live with a big family, or have multiple roommates sharing one bathroom. 

This 3-tier rolling storage cart is perfect for any dorm, bedroom, laundry room or bathroom, one of my sorority sisters has it, and she uses it in her dorm to keep snacks next to her bed so she doesn’t have to get up when she’s binging a Netflix show. 

My personal favorite are these neon wall lights. They have a multitude of shapes to choose from, and all you need to charge them is a USB port, so you don’t have to worry about running out of battery!
